Dance Practise resumes September 10th, and children of all ages are welcome to come and join The Kleine Pakete. We are a non- profit, and non-competivie dance group, and we participate in several cultural events in Regina and Saskatoon.
Die Kleine Pakete is the Regina German Club’s junior folk dance group. It is open for both girls and boys, ages range from 4 to 15 years. This group is broken into two age categories; Tots – 4 to 8 years old, and Intermediates 8 to 15. Germany consists of many different regions, and each has their own unique form of folk dancing. Our dance instructors try to incorporate the many forms and styles and make it fun for the children.
We do some fundraising throughout the year, to help with costs of costumes, music, accessories and dance instructor fees.
The group meets once a week at 6pm to 7pm on Monday evenings from September to June to practice. The Tots are under the direction of two dance instructors Mrs. Tara Gaudet, and Mrs Andrea MacLeod. The Intermediate group is under direction of Ms. Lindsey Cottin.
Dance Fees are as follows
Full Year: September to June – $220 (single child)
For two or more children, family discount $200 (per child)
Part Year: January to June – $130
(Monthly payments are negotiable)
No costume, no need to panic. The dance instructors assit in costume ordering, from outfits, shoes, to socks.
