Die Kleine Pakete Invites You!

All are welcome to come and join the Regina German Club’s – Die Kleine Pakete. Registration and first practice starts on September 11, 2017, in the main hall.

History:
The Kleine Pakete is the Regina German Club’s first junior folk dance group. It simply translates to “Small Packages”, and that they are. It is open for both boys and girls ages 4 to 14 years.
Germany consists of many different regions, and each has their own unique form of folk dancing. Our dance instructors tries to incorporate the many forms and makes it fun for the children.

The group meets once a week at 6pm to 7pm on Monday evenings from September to June to practice. They are under the direction of the dance instructors Ms. Tamara Scrimbit, Mrs Andrea Macleod, and Mrs.Tara Gaudet.

The group is broken into two age categories:
Tots – ages 4-8
Intermediate – ages 9-14

Throughout the two years of existence, the group has participated in several cultural events in Regina, like the Santa Claus Parade, represented the German culture at Mosaic, and for the first time has been asked to come to perform in Saskatoon for Folkfest.

For the 2016-2017 dance year, the kids had a few fundraisers, and purchased Red Lederhosen, socks, gamsbart for the boys and matching necklaces for the girls.
