In Germany, Christmas markets are a delightful way to begin the holiday season. The crisp, cold air is filled with the fragrance of sizzling sausages, sweet pastries, spices and hot spiced Glühwein.
The Regina German Club is delighted to once again play host to a German Christmas market with it’s old world charm. You will find local, hand-made items and Christmas gifts, imported novelties, baked goods, and of course delicious food.
We will have Glühwein in the foyer, the kitchenette will serve goulasch, Stollen, Kaiserschmarrn, and Bratapfel, outside you will find our Bratwurst station and Schnapshäusle, and downstairs you will find Strudel and German beer.
All those words mean nothing to you? Come and discover what it’s all about, you will not be disappointed.
Of course we don’t forget about our youngest guests. Up on the balcony you will find our Back- und Bastelstube – the baking and craft kitchen. Here, kids can roll out dough and cut out their own Christmas cookies. They are baked on the spot and can be decorated afterwards. They can also make their own little ornaments with pipe cleaner and colourful beads. These activities is free, but we always appreciate donations.
